Rough chopped (raw) yellowtail, mixed with green onions and masago…topped with black caviar and a quail egg yolk

Sure, but there are better ways to prepare Hamachi Tartare.

Hell yeah!! Had something similar at The Fresh Catch Bistro on Fort Myers Beach and it is amazing. I’ve gotten it the last couple times we’ve been down there.

Yes. Not sure why people have issues with the yolk. I would eat that too.

I like a runny yolk, not sure if I’d go raw, though.

Well, if it's runny, it's going to be raw even if its a sunny side up egg.

A tataki is any cut of fresh fish scorched on the outside with a propane burner, Rice straw (especially in the case of Katsuo / Bonito).

I can't add much to the AU thread or tRant because I have been away from my beloved college football in Auburn and around the South for years. 25 or so years now I guess. If anyone would like to pin a Japanese cooking thread, I would be happy to offer what I can. War Eagle.

NOLAGT, Bon Temps Grill has a very nice tuna tartare and avocado app. Took me awhile to find this pre-pandemic pic.
