Would Pimanyoli’s still be open today if they were in a different location?

I was a huge fan of theirs and would always wonder how much more popular they would be if they were in a more high traffic area.

That location off Airline seemed odd and inconvenient for many people. Seems like a location closer to the interstate or maybe Jefferson Hwy/Corporate area would have been better for exposure.

I think so. The food was great. Is that family still in the restaurant business?

What were your favorites there Paul?

Anything as good as what J. Alexander’s offers?

Probably don’t pay their bills

If they took care of if their business finances similar to their personal finances, that would probably be it…

Actually, it seemed like there was always tons of traffic in that area when I was around there.

it’s one of the highest traffic count stretches in the city . As usual, the originator of this thread has no idea what he’s talking about

I thought the husband, driving force behind the restaurant, passed away and they struggled to keep things going for several years after that. At least that's sort of what I recall.

That they were only open for lunch probably hurt their bottom line too.

in my top five. Up there with Olive Garden, Chili's, Applebee's, & Ruby Tuesday's.

No clue on why they closed. The food was mostly very well done.

They seemed to do great lunch crowds and slow dinner crowds, but they closed early for dinner and didn’t serve alcohol (which if I remember correctly was due to religious beliefs). Not serving alcohol is a poor business decision regardless of reason for most places at dinner.

that’s exactly what happened. Nothing to do with location or traffic count . shite St George FD was headquartered right next door for a decade…everyone who worked there at there several times a week. That commercial center has three rows of tenants in it, 90% occupancy. A restaurant in there could get zero customers from airline and still do fine.

This thread is so stupid it makes my head hurt

Being dead makes it difficult to run a restaurant.

RIP, the pulled pork or brisket salads were my "lo-cal" favorites. If you call about a half pound of meat with a creamy dressing "lo-cal".

Yes, once he died that was the end
The lady that took over was in way over her head
They even brought in the food network guy to help fix it and that didn't work either

Man, I always really liked this restaurant for lunch. The BBLTA was my go to, brisket, bacon, lettuce, tomato, apples. Seems weird but it worked.

Been skeptical on going to the restaurant that is there now, Bullfish bistro. has anyone been? is it worth going?
