In your opinion, what’s an appropriate, fair price for this whiskey?

If supply kept up with demand, I would expect the price to be $35

I'd probably pay $35. Maybe I have at some point.

It's a $30-$35 dollar bottle of bourbon.

I have snatched 4 bottles in the past month in that range. I have seen it as high as $80 which is just stupid.

EDIT: I thought you posted a pic of Weller Special Reserve. Weller 12 is much harder to come by and sells for way too much $$ on the secondary

to me, weller is the most confusingly over hyped bourbon out there right. The only draw to the stuff used to be how good it was for the price...it was pretty solid for a $30 bottle.... now people are going ape shite for it and paying triple digits

it's really good, when I find it, it tends to be around $80.

And it makes no logical sense anymore. The whole history of Weller, as i understand it, is that the Van Winkle family used to buy hand selected weller casks for their brand. Now, buffalo trace owns all of that shite, and there is no confirmed link between the 2 anymore other than they are all a part of 1 parent company.

Correction: After some reading, it appears Weller 12 is the bourbon that Pappy uses first for Old Rip, then Old Rip Special reserve, then on to the van winkle lines. If it doesn't quite make the cut, then it is sold as Weller 12. I believe Weller and Weller Special Reserve are the same but younger?

That bottle is less than $29 at my local grocery.
The 1.5L is less than $40

I usually buy the 1.5s when they have them.
Edit: I was referring to Special Reserve in Green Bottle.

My local liquor store sells it to preferred customers (i.e., me) for $35 when they have it in stock, which is rare. It is an excellent Bourbon for that price. I wouldn't dream of paying more than $40 for it, though, and have seen other stores mark it up to $80.
