Long day of prepping here as well! Still need to make a crab meat and shrimp run, so haven't started yet.

Will be prepping the crab cakes, a remoulade sauce, boiling and chilling all the shrimp, cheesy cabbage casserole, sweet potato casserole, and defrosting the already-made cornbread dressing.

Might also go ahead and make gravy..

Day 4 of eating freezer food, so will pull out the crab au gratin stuffed bacon wrapped mushrooms (Karchners) + boudin and pepper jack egg rolls (Billys) to snack on all day.

Just put the cream cheese out to soften and the eggs out to come to room temp. Browning butter for a crumb crust. Malted chocolate cheesecake should be done and in the fridge by early afternoon. That’s it for me—I got off lightly this year!

If you haven't shopped for all your ingredients yet, you'll be kicking yourself in the butt when you pull into whatever supermarket(or seafood market)you get to, I hear they are packed! Shows that our Great President Trump has improved our economy! Lol....... Made sure we got everything yesterday! My wife and son went to Dorignac's for French bread a while ago and I think they were gone for an hour.

Going to prep my broccoli-rice casserole and make deviled eggs today. Everything else can be knocked out easily tomorrow.

My only complaint is that there were only 3 hams left (I'm over turkey) and the smallest one I could find won't fit in my Instant Pot. I was trying not to share my oven.

About to go pick up the turkey (yes, it's fresh not frozen) then the last few items we need on the way home. Wife already has the cranberry sauce and pies made. I'll brine the turkey overnight in the fridge, and at least get the stock made for the gravy tonight as well.

There was a woman in Rouses looking at a 15lb frozen turkey

Crowds were there but not nearly what I expected. Didn’t wait behind anyone in line.

I have some of these and the sausage stuffed, as well. Let me know how you cook them and how they turn out. The ones I have are HUGE!

Yes they’re massive! I’ve been holding onto them until we have guests but I’m getting too impatient.

I've been doing the same because they're so big. My brother brought them to us and I had no idea they'd be that big. Might cook some for the game this weekend. I was thinking of putting them in a cast iron skillet in the oven. I like the bacon to be crispy if possible, so I'm debating on the temp. I need to call Kartchner's and ask. I'd messaged Logan Kartchner on FB and he usually answers pretty promptly, but I never heard back.

I’ve been wondering too. I was going to try 400. I’ll let you know our result.

Injected and dry rubbed 3 turkeys for the fryer. Made a pan of cornbread for stuffing. These yanks go crazy over the fried birds and the andouille' cornbread dressing. Not to mention the hoard when the peach cobbler comes out the oven.

Deboned the turkey and put it to brine. Thawing andouille for the Lima beans and shrimp. Made dirty rice to stuff turkey with. 20lbs and I’ll roll and tie and it will cook in a little over 2 hours at 450.

Messaged them on FB. The response was to thaw them out and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

I decided to make Brit style sausage rolls since I found a box of puff pastry in the freezer and I didnt have much to cook today. Gonna eat those and drink some rose cider this evening, and count my blessings that my brother volunteered to make both the turkey and the dressing.
