Seems like Costco and Sams quit carrying it.

Oddly enough, Home Depot sells it here and at a great price: $24.98 for 24 bottles (12oz).

Is a "case" the correct unit for this item?

Pretty sure everyone knew what he meant

Costco in BR stopped carrying it but La Morenita had plenty a month or so ago. Maybe try your local supermercado

Am I so old that I am unaware that 24 drinks is no longer called a case?

Flats - 24 in a cardboard tray
Cases - 24 in a cardboard box

That’s my experience anyway

I’ve never heard of flats, but I’m not discounting their existence.

The correct term is kilo and I’ve heard the Peruvian Coke is better.

Wait, what? To my knowledge about the metric system, a kilo refers to a unit of weight equal to 2.2 lbs., not a numerical unit of 24 sodas in a container.

Check around places that have a large number of migrant workers. Back in the day a little corner Mexican store in Folsom had them, also another authentic store in Franklinton that also cooks might have them. The one time I was there I didn’t make it past picking up the food but it looked liked the real deal.
