Fro shrimp, fried seafood, and crawfish:
equal parts of Chili Sauce and ketchup
a few dashes of Worchestershire sauce
lemon juice to taste
horseradish to taste
garlic powder to taste
Toy's till it's salty and spicy enough for me, or Trappey's Bull

For crawfish only:
white vinegar and a few dashes of Trappey's Bull or Crystal(you have not enjoyed crawfish 'till you've tried 'em this way)

I agree with that. Seems odd that in the areas where crawfish mostly come from the people eat them with dip....

Here is my clone of this. These are the only ingredients listed on the label and the raw garlic gives it a nice bite. Best if made at least a day ahead of time.

Creole Tomato Salad Dressing

Ingredients
4 cups mayonnaise
6 oz chopped tomato
1 cup peeled garlic cloves
1 tbsp black pepper

Procedure
1. Put all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.

Normally nothing at all, but if I am looking to use a dip, its just ketchup, horseradish and w-sauce. Heavy on the horseradish.

Growing up, I have seen all kinds of dips. Some friends from Pierre Part use a vinegar and salt mixture. Others use the mayo based variety. My grandmother used to use a lemon butter sauce.

I don't eat it myself but do make it when I have a boil because a lot of people like it.

I make it for my boils. I agree with the Worcestershire.

I also add a cap full of liquid crab boil to mine.

IF I eat it, I like either mayo/ketchup/hotsauce combo or melted butter/lemon/old bay

This exactly, and all I need is a simple cocktail sauce.

I find it funny that so many people are so proud of their crawfish boil recipes and concoctions and then they cover their food with a bunch of condiments like they bought it from McDonald's. It's boiled crawfish, not french fries.

Ugh...a warm day, a little drunk, a tub full of what amounts to Cane's sauce is the last thing I want in front of me at a boil.

I find this odd since every boil i have been to south of HWY 90 has served dip. All the restaurants down here include it with your meal.

I'm from the Belle Chasee/New Orleans area and I have seen lots of people make dip for their boiled seafood. I'm not big on it but it can be good for the sides.

To me that is only for lobster. More of a yankee thing I guess.
