re: LEGO Set Suggestions for young boy

You can not go wrong with Star Wars maybe also including the movies with his gift.
Maybe take him for ice cream or to the toy store as a day treat and tell him he can pick out a $5-$10 set. I guarantee he will be also be eyeing all the big sets giving you an idea of what he is interested in.

Had the same thing. Had docs say it was a pulled muscle, after 6 months of the same pain I finally referred to a doc at the Neuromedical hospital who diagnosed it with an SI joint disfunction.
re: 10 year old dog keeps jumping on the couch - need OT advice

I also had Ridgeback that did the same thing. I would flip the cushions up and he was smart enough to flip them down and still get on the sofa in the middle of the night. He had his own very large bed and we also praised him using it. It helped some but as soon as I would turn my back he would be back on the sofa or sneak in the guest bedroom and sprawled out on the bed. Good luck on breaking him now at 10 years old. They can be very head strong dogs.

They actually are making a coming back but with metal handles to make them look more modern.
re: Deveining shrimp - Is it an insult to keep it?
Posted by osunshine on 2/22/14 at 11:05 pm
I never devein shrimp no matter the size and when growing up neither did my parents. I am not turned off by the taste and can’t taste a difference either so if a restaurant doesn’t I won’t turn my nose up. Also on the topic of deveing, I know several people who will devein each and every boiled crawfish which drives crazy.

Not feeling the charm of Pocorello's
I can't recall a worse experience at a retail establishment, and their cash payment requirement is like the icing on a shite cake, "shite" being one of the daughter(?)'s most used words, just what I want to hear over and over while waiting
I also don’t get the love for this place.
I heard so many great things about the place, how great their meatballs and spaghetti sauce were yada yada yada. The meatballs were tasty but the sauce was too sweet and tasted burned. On top of that the service is horrible. Old Man at the counter is grumpy, the people in the kitchen yelling and cussing at each other and they act like they are doing you a favor by selling you food. Forget that, I will take my ca$h elsewhere.
Need a themed cake maker?

I need someone who can make a scary 3D shark cake in Baton Rouge in the next 3 weeks. It doesn’t have to be a brick and mortar baker.
Thanks
Thanks

I have a 2013 Escaspe and really like it. Plenty of cargo space, peppy engine and good mpg.

I know this is a long shot but are there any places that deliver to this area (besides pizza & Chinese)?
I know someone that is having surgery next month and I would like to send their family a meal one night.

Homemade breads. Specialty cheese and crusty bread. Sandwhich tray from a deli, Quiche, pasta salad.
I know you say you don’t want to lug a crockpot but that can be an easy option. I use the Reynolds Slow Cooker liners so clean up is easy. Plug it in before you go to bed, load it with something like chili, soup, meatballs, ham, little smokies, etc, transport it by wrapping it in aluminum foil and a old towel so it doesn’t spill in your car.

Pros:
Good French Dip and Filet Mignon Sandwich.
Good Happy Hour prices.
Like that is not a chain.
Cons:
If you don’t sit at the bar the service is hit or miss and your drink is very slow to be served because the bartender is too busy wanting to please the customers sitting at the bar.
Band starts to set up at 8:00 pm and takes away from what limited seating is available.

Little Caesar, even the kids won't eat it.
re: Pizza Hut: most desperate franchise
Posted by osunshine on 6/10/13 at 11:10 pm
I never order from the Hut in Baton Rouge but I am in Gulf Shore and the $5.95 carry out price point got me in their door. The pizza was much better than Little Ceasars in BR and satisfied my 2 bottomless pit kids.
There were plenty of people in there eating in and I noticed the 3 other people in front of me picking up orders that had maybe 1 or 2 pizzas with no less than a charge of $20.
