Sitting outside my local meat market, which I am happy to support during this crisis. They have all kinds of specialty meats, as well as top quality cuts whenever I need the good stuff.

Do you have a great local meat market near you that you are thankful for? If so, show your appreciation right here. Maybe we can help these guys out during these tough times.

Keep in mind, these places supply local restaurants, so they are having a tough time right now.

Kincaid's Meat Market. Been around close to 100 years, and it's 3 blocks from my house. Good people.

Paulina Meat Market in Chicago is awesome, right up the street from me. Old school meat market that makes excellent sausages.

Chitown - how familiar are you with Door County? I may want to pick your brain about places to go up there.

Also, have you been to Indiana Dunes, just east of Chicago? Is it worthy of going to?

I apologize to the OP for hijacking this thread.

Despite being from Green Bay I've actually never vacationed in Door County because my family has a place in northern Wisconsin. I've heard it's really nice, much like the Massachusetts Harbor towns but with much nicer people.

Never done the Indiana dunes either. But there are some great towns on the Michigan lakeshore that I've been to. You'd have to head north a bit though.

I don’t visit many of the meat shops because some of our local grocery stores have good meat departments.
Last weekend I discovered a little old style meat place in Slidell named Armonds. It was very good

I pop into Chris’ Specialty Meat every now and then. I just wish they could figure out how to make good cracklings.

We get 3bs a few times a week. Grilled Salmon with okra for both sides. That Brazilian waitress is hot.

Kovasovic’s in Rosenberg, Texas. Family business with fantastic sausage skills. My absolute favorite breakfast pan sausage in Texas. Went yesterday and picked up 2 lbs for this morning. Also got fresh boneless chicken breasts and hand cut filets for the grill last night.

Sausage land

I am sure there are similar stories across Louisiana for meat markets.

What are the must-gets outside of the breakfast sausage? I'll have to take a ride one day.

I'll stop in B & W Meat Company once a month to grab some stuff since it's close to me.

Their smoked sausage is good too. Just a good family meat market with quality meat.

Luckily my sister in law is good friends with her. You should see her in a bikini.

Are you the poster I once ran into there?
