Here you go brah

Cove
Chimes LSU
Pelican House
Chimes East

I didn't look at them. But last I checked, Chimes was pretty solid

ETA: I know the Bulldog has a good list somewhere. But I can't seem to find it

Any updates on Pelican House? Place seems to be on the downswing from what I've read on here.

I just know they pissed off a lot of craft beer drinkers right when they opened, and their prices are stupid.

Still haven't been, and doubt I'll ever go.

You really aren't missing much...

High prices, limited food menu, generally uninformed waitstaff, and nothing special on tap and when there is something special on tap they'll require you to buy an entree with it.

I was on the fence about this place before the stunt they pulled with the canebrake cask, after that crap I won't be back.

I don't understand the PH. If you want to open a craft beer taphouse, just follow the Avenue Pub's basic operating method and profit. Really isn't difficult.

Having people who work there and don't know shite about beer is ridiculous.

life is so simple, isn't it? Good thing we have smart people like you to help point out how to make fail proof business plans.

Note: I think the PH is a strange concept(still not sure what their concept is actually).

Is this serious? That's fricking ridiculous.

I went to PH once and it was a pretty good vibe, lots of people, lots of women .. but the beer selection wasn't anything special, Cove and Bulldog both have better beers IMO. Also got a burger that was mediocre and quite expensive.

I agree the Pelican House staff is relatively clueless, but a grown man that can't pick out his own beer from a written menu is pretty sad also.

The food is terrible, and there aren't many good looking women, but I go there for business meetings once a week and it's served me well. It's quiet, comfortable, and clean.

I saw recently they hired a new guy to revamp their kitchen and change up the menu.

I've only been once since they pulled that crap.

I keep going back to the Chimes. It's just more my kind of place. Non-smoking, laid back, good food and it opens early.

Let's hope he's good at his job. I like the idea of a slightly more upscale drinking establishment, but having to leave there to go get a decent dinner is a pain in the arse. I don't mind the higher prices if I get to sit on a sofa and watch television.

what was the stunt with the canebrake cask?

oh, and the one time I went there (the Friday night of Memorial Day weekend) it was full of hot women.
