$8 for 20oz pint at Chimes LSU.
$7 for 10oz pour at The Cove.

I've heard Chimes is trying to step up their game also.

This is good news, because they were getting to near national chain level or tap selection

They rotate out beers several times per week so a list is useless :)

Wait, what? Thats the whole point of an updated list.

Sounds like I need to finally give Chimes another shot. Will be in BR plenty this fall so it's now on the list. Really hope they are stepping their game up .. they were getting left in the proverbial craft beer dust.

That's kinda the point of a list. If they would put their menu on BeerMenus.com, it would help a bunch.

Pelican House beermenus

they did, but still looks like its only a once a week update type thing.

I think PH aspires to be a trendier, nightclubby Bulldog, when in that space, they should be trying to be more of a restaurant like the Chimes

I didn't know there was an online updater thing for menus.

We'll be at our place for 8am or so. I'm all good with Nola, especially if we make the trip down there next weekend.

It is still a work in progress Ro, but it is going to happen. I've talked to people that know. The Chimes "rested on their laurels" the last few years and did not recognize it. Things are changing for the better.

New bartenders? Or training for the ones that are there?

Nothing to do with the bartenders. We are talking tap selection.

Well that's one good thing.

Their bartenders are not good.

Love it. I hope to one day take R2R Jr. in there and show him daddy's name on the drunk wall of fame.

Because I focus more on craft beer lately, my visits to the Chimes have been less frequent so I don't know about the bartenders. Bad service at the bar?

I've never had issues with the bar service at Chimes.

Chimes East used to have good bartenders and I still think most are decent. I've had a couple doozies, but never bad. They've always got at least one behind the bar or managing who can answer your questions.
