I like Wilderness Trail so far, but it certainly hasn't earned the WT moniker.

Instead of WT they can just say WildT for clarity

Results from the last blind tasting round of barrel proofs. Larceny A121 was barely behind the Barrell SP, but continues to be my favorite bottle of the last several months due to the value (47 bucks).

Any idea of the source on that Barrell SiB?

He said it was one of the recent ones, possibly 25, but didn't sound too sure. I don't have that bottle to make a direct comparison.

I do like all of the ones I've tried from them, but this is my favorite so far. Fruit forward nose and initial palate, with a really long cinnamon finish.

It's a single barrel, it's not one of the batches (those are blends). That single barrel is Kentucky sourced, which means it's pretty up in the air. Indiana from them is MGP, Tennessee from them is Dickel, I don't think anyone knows what their Kentucky source is. I've heard much speculation about different distilleries, but not sure if anyone knows. Didn't know if maybe the people who chose the barrel knew which distillery it came from (if they received the actual barrel from Barrell I think it should be marked).

Good point. I'll be sure to ask the next time I go. I'm planning on getting another bottle.

That one tastes very rich and buttery. Lots of caramel. I absolutely love it. Way more than the rye.

I think the rye is fantastic. Enjoying this pour and letting it open up.

I have the 119 still to open. Couldn't find the 117.

Martins had some whisky from Italy in. I bought one bottle and was thoroughly impressed upon cracking it...bought a second and cracked it...you get the picture. I ended buying the whole line. All were unique and excellent.

Martins is trying to get a tasting together for them in May.
