Never liked this JT when I first opened it. I enjoy it more now that I went back to it.

Did they recently have a pick? I look at various rouses and have never seen one.

Also, is that Jefferson Cask strength good? I hear good things but their other lineup is crap so I haven’t pulled the trigger.

Yes, they recently did a pick, I think July. I shop Thibodaux epicurean for the most part, they still have some. Prairieville airline had some in a box in front the customer service earlier in the month though. Speaking of, need to go see if I have any backups. Gone pecan

As for the JRCS, it is the only Jefferson’s I’ll spend money on, until they figure out a hazmat bottle, this 130 is a sweet spot for them. I love it.

I saw a Brewzle video where they did a barrel pick at Frey Ranch, and he was really big on their bourbon. It’s a Nevada ranch where they grow all the grains they use to distill.

The Frey Ranch locator showed a Harley’s store in Longview, Texas was the closest to me. Went today and bought a bottle for $53.59. Decided to hit another nice liquor store, Heritage, while I was in town. They had the same bottle for $99. Crazy thing was that most of Heritage’s other prices were very reasonable.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a pricing disparity between stores 5 minutes from each other.

We got in a bottle of 100 proof Saz and it is great, according to my Sazerac rep, it is supposed to be the same age 6-8 years as regular Sazerac, but I'm thinking it is the older end of that spectrum.

I’m curious on your thoughts. The reviews I’ve seen are not great. It’s only $40 so it’s not a total loss.

Two of our 4 bottles on mystery night last night were KLUKE. Something I have been wanting to try. They were extremely unpopular.

I’ve had the toasted rye, toasted bourbon, and barrel strength bourbon. The barrel strength bourbon was solid, but honestly I don’t know if I’d spend $115 on it when you can get Green River Full Proof for $50.

Anyone have Rare Character exceptional wheated bourbon? I saw some locally. I didn’t see the price but my assumption is $150-200. Is it worth it?
