A 28 year old bourbon may be overly woody. I actually prefer the 15 and 20 year PVW over the 23. I'm sure some folks would pay an exorbitant amount of money for a 28 year PVW, but many would see through that guise. I say keep dumping that old stock into current PVW releases to add some interesting notes.

Agreed...I love my 2011 23yr, but 28 is too much of a good thing...

The Jefferson's 25 & 30 yr have been getting horrible reviews so far.

Keep this in mind...the best bourbons are like women: aged 18-23 years. Any older and they're too rough, any younger and you're a pedophile...

Think I have a new sig quote...

I second that a pvw decanter set would be great but i couldnt pay the asking price. Even the empty bottle and glasses can fetch over $300

haha...it's a spirit aerator. i've got one...dont use it all the time but its kinda cool to pull out every once in a while. i am more inclined to use it for cheaper stuff that could use some mellowing. I dont usually run my expensive stuff through it

I use it almost every time because I can measure it out as well.

My bottles are lasting way longer because of this. I never realized how much I was pouring before.

Because the drunker you get the more you pour...and spiral downward faster....almost like busting out 140 proof stagg after a long day of drinking

I do like that as well.. I was using it a pretty good bit but I ran some ER17 through it and it felt like it molested it in a way I didnt like. so I havent been using it as much lately
