Distillery bro. The two stories I've been in were dog shite. Anything worth buying was secondary prices

That was my experience in 2011.

Don't need to go back that far. I have bought Pappy and BTAC off the shelf at retail and even left bottles behind at retail as recent as 2012 in Baton Rouge.

I was in a liquor store off of I think Magazine street in New Orleans in 2012 and they had a bottle of 20 yr and 15 yr Pappy Van Winkle. $120 and $90.

I had 2 beers, but then switched to High West Double Rye. On 3PD. But it's the last PD. Just been busy.

Big fan of that double rye, yeezy? May have to sample it, even if I'm not much of a rye guy

Truthfully, no. It's okay. It's doing the job now, but I'd rather go cheaper with Wild Turkey, or, ideally, find a couple bottles of Son of Bourye. That Son is really nice. But I like ryes. I'm gonna talk to Tim at Elio's and see if I can't score a few.

My damn bottle of WT had the cork stopper break and it's plugged. I'm not gonna push the cork in like I'm 19. I looked for a needle to extract it, but apparently I don't just have needles sitting around. I don't do much sewing

That Old Scout is also on my radar. Gets a lot of love. I've been reading

EH Taylor is a new one.

Also I think I've asked about ryes here like twice. But sometimes I do it after I've had too many beers and I want bourbon and dammit, I need your bourbon recs RIGHT NOW

I love the eht rye. While your looking at that lineup grab a small batch or if you want to spend a few more for better grab the single barrel.

Have a friend in Kentucky for the festival this week and was wondering how a man could get some bourbon shipped back home? He is flying so that is not a option. Any suggestions?
