same here. i remember buying stag for like $55 simply because i wanted to try the strongest whiskey i had ever heard of. was hooked after that

Yeah same here, I bought the blue label online. I enjoy it enough for sure. Really wanted to try the 22 just didn't want to pay secondary prices.

It's a Luxco brand. The same folks that make Rebel Yell, Ezra Brooks, David Nicholson 1849, and some other non descript Bourbons. They also make Everclear so they've got that going for them but I will pass.
