As long as you bring ribs for our 4 Roses tasting you can talk about whatever you want. Oh and I'm game for a scotch tasting.

I took that rye for granted...until I ran out and couldn't replace it this year.

I've been listening to Sturgill Simpson while drinking lately.

Anyone ever try Auchentoshan Three Wood? Someone went to Scottland and brought me this as a present. It starts out in a Bourbon barrel and then goes into two different sherry barrels.

Also will be getting this over the weekend:

Never had the rye before.

Something about that label doesn't look right. Proceed with caution.

Youre right about that No telling how many bottles of bourbon have been emptied listening to that station.

Rye whiskey showdown. Don't laugh my collection of rye is limited.

Review: Points out of 10.

I have very limited experience with Rye's so my evaluations may be off.

Angel Envy (8): Very robust complex flavor with a good amount of sweetness. Boarder line too sweet. $85 for the bottle is a fair value but I wouldn't call it a solid value.
Old Scout Q-Bins Edition (7): Barrel proof adds a strong sharpness. Overall flavor and complexity not to the level of AE but closer than I expected. A solid pour. Exceeded expectations.
Russell's Reserve Rye (4): Obviously outclassed by its other competitors. Mild flavor with limited complexity. Takes a fairly experienced palate to tell it is even rye. A reasonable daily drinker and a fair value.

I was thinking the same thing. The left side almost looks like it was heated or something to try to remove the label.

I'd make sure the laser code and the series letter on the label match before paying for it.

The label also looks a little lower than it should be but maybe that is just me.
