Sugar cube. Coat with angostura butters. Splash of water. Muddle. 2 oz rye. Stir. Add ice. Add orange peel. Enjoy. Repeat.

This is my recipe, I measure to keep it in proportions, but may double or triple depending on the ability to quickly refil.

2oz bourbon on rye
2 bar spoonfuls of simple syrup
Couple of dashes of bitters
Pour over a large cube if available or a few smaller cubes of ice
Add orange peel, sometimes add a cherry or two

Every time I go in Rouse’s on Royal St, they always have one. It’s like they put out one bottle at a time.
