Blantons was my go to bourbon. Now that it’s hard to find I’m trying to find something equivalent. What you guys have?

Just finished a bottle of Blade & Bow that was not bad at all.

For an everyday drinker I’d go Eagle Rare, Elijah Craig small batch, and EH Taylor small batch. Find some store pick ERs and ECs.

What’s the consensus every day rye whiskeys? Sazerac, Woodford, and Bulleit are all in a similar price point that I’ve enjoyed previously.

I actually watch Mascona’s review of the EC small batch this am. Probably what I’ll grab.

I imagine that’s amazing!

Any of you baws use the Wintersmith ice molds? A buddy got them for me and they make some crystal clear ice.

No but I’d be willing to try. I always feel like my whiskey tastes better with clear ice I’m sure it’s in my head.

That bottle is from around 1968. My buddy’s father in law gave it to him and he breaks it out from time to time. It is a religious experience. It also gives me perspective when I’m chasing random bottles I think I need.

I do. They really are a great affordable clear ice ball/cube maker. Wonderful for an OF

I have the round version ice chest that makes 4 at a time. Love it. Only way I have been able to make true clear ice and it makes a difference. I think that was all in the original thread maybe.

I am going to order the sphere molds too so I can make spheres and cubes. It seems like it keeps the drink nice and cold without diluting it, and the ice doesn’t break up or splinter because it is a solid block.

For that price, I will just keep using my cloudy ice spheres
