Tried. Still looks scary.
You filtered through cheesecloth and it still has stuff in it? That’s some fine arse cork.

2PD, still enjoying this pour.

I have had similar happen. Filter it with coffee filter or otherwise and it should be fine.

How is that? I’m thinking about picking it up soon.
I can get that one, or a Private Selection (basically their version of a barrel pick), what do you think would be the play?
Oh and FPD

pick both .. private selection is a store pick using their combo of staves so the flavor profile will be different. If you like MM like I do, both would be awesome

Didn’t know champagnes got an er pick. Is that fairly new?
ETA: just read your response to boodro. Good to know

Does this have a similar taste to the michters toasted barrel? I remember you saying that has a toasted marshmallow flavor to it. Since I can’t get that I may seek this out if so.
1PD. Bought this today, and hitting the neck. It’s quite complex, and it should develop nicely once opened for a while.

2PD. Islay with my prime ribeye I just finished searing. Topped with some butter and white truffle salt, and sided with cabbage and corn maque choice from yesterday. The wife is eating seared tuna, since she went lame on me and gave up meat

I love it too .. its more different than anything else I have had. Sitting here, just swirling it and taking the nose in.
