Good luck. An Oa isn’t my favorite Ardbeg but it’s not bad. If you find you are not put off by the smoke and pest, try the Corryvrekan. It’s one of the best Scotches you will find.

When these are the options the restaurant has, you gotta go with the EH Taylor Barrel Proof, right?

I agree. That's me and my wife's favorite whiskey right now!

No one joined the Gold Rush at Calvins today? When was the last time anyone saw RHF in the wild in Louisiana?

etty new to bourbon and want to get a bottle around the $100 range that is relatively easy to find. Any recommendations?
Being new to bourbon and at that price point, I highly suggest Angel's Envy Rye. It's incredibly smooth, and it has a nice sweetness to it. Many scoff at it, because they think it's too sweet; however, I think it's fantastic, and there is a place for it. Plus it's that sweetness that makes it such a great intro to bourbon.
When you pour it, make sure you let it sit for about 10 mins. The ethanol will evaporate out, and the maple syrup smell and taste will shine.

How's the Barrell? I had a bottle in my hand today and put it down for Noah's Mill. Kinda kicking myself...
