I knew Louis Deangelos father Lou. He looked like a Mafia hit man taken right off the set of the Sopranos!

Not true

I’m not sure where you can find a decent pizza for less.

What’s the eye roll for? I can’t recall the last decent pizza I had that cost less than $20.

Can you point me to one?

Pretty much going rate for pizzas that aren't chain delivery if it is worth a $hit.

Diversion Pizza has a bad arse special. It’s like $30 or so. Pizza, salad and a bottle of wine. It’s good shite too.

ftr if you are in LC, 121 bistro started as a deangelos and after it caught fire and they rebuilt, they did not renew the franchice.

still serve the pastas, pizza and calzones but also steaks and other items. great place to stop and eat if passing through.

What ever happened to Johnny Deangelo? That was a good public feud for a while. His pizza was great. He was always very nice to me and my wife but man that place seemed like chaos.

I remember working in a store at Cortana Mall when i was a student at LSU in 1992 or 93.. one day this guy comes in, we spent about a half hour BS’ing while he picked a few things out.. told me he was from NJ and had just opened (or was about to open?) an Italian restaurant in Hammond Aire Plaza or whatever it was called.. i remember him saying that he had picked BR becuase it was a place with a dearth of good Italian food (though i remember Gino’s being popular at the time, where a buddy of mine waited on a young high school QB named Peyton Manning).. in any case, i promised him id check out the restaurant sometime, and wished him luck.. I never did make it to the restaurant, but everytime id return to BR over the years for a football game, id see his original restaurant expanding , and then other locations pop up.. good to see an American success story, and that he apparently had a good three decade or so run .
