I was a if fan of the Metairie DeAngelos. It was in Heritage Plaza which of course is a terribly odd location.

I may get crucified for this, But my I loved the red sauce on the pasta with the chicken parm. I have tried to replicate it unsuccessfully many times.

Really nice folks, but their legal and financial affairs weren't really in order.
In particular, their franchise agreements assumed too much burden and risk, and then Covid hit - no doubt the beginning of the end since the franchisees could no longer pay.
I hope they are doing well and living the dream.
