The Rouses on Power Blvd in Metairie recently got the inside of the place remodeled, and it look's really great. Prices are better than Winn Dixie too

Went in the Rouses on Baronne a few times during this past Mardi Gras to pick up various things and I thought it was very legit.

Go at 7:00 pm on a Tuesday. Yoga pants everywhere

That's great and everything brah but I'm there to make groceries. I live down the street from Pure Barre I got the yoga pants covered. What I need is a grocery store without ignorant employees and management. Yes go to the Rouse's on Tchoup and try and buy something out the meat department case. Not gonna happen because there is never anyone back there to help you. I stopped in there Friday on the way home from work and could not get any help in the prepared food department. Then I stood in the meat department for 15 min and couldn't get one person to help me. I left my basket right there and went to Breaux Mart. Danny Rouse where you at brah ? You need to clean house at the Tchoup store! All the employees do at that location is hang out and bullshite. I can never get any help except in the seafood department. You should promote the seafood manger to store manager. It's the only department that has people actually during there job.

The Rouse's on Vets by Acme is awesome! It's the best store in the area IMO. The newly remodeled store on Power is nice but they haven't quite figured out what products to stock yet.

I need to make some groceries this am. I might take your advice and go to walmart. I never shop at walmart but most of the things on my list today are toiletries.

Well, it doesn't seem to be a fully staffed department like WF or Langenstein's, but I'm always able to find someone to help if I need something special or have a question. Agree it could improve. Overall, though, I think the store is pretty nice and has a lot of choices.

I'm a Whole Foods junky who's been trying to break the habit and branch out more.

Shop at the one on Carrolton, or the Baronne store. Really like both, and have never had an issue with finding a store employee to help me when I needed it. Damn, some of you people live miserable lives.

i used to shop at the carrolton one by canal. got tired of paying 50% for all the produce - sometimes it was even higher than whole foods. tired of waiting in a 15 minute line to get my deli meat sliced. tired of feeling nauseous as i passed the rotting seafood. tired of the low quality meats. only thing i would ever consider getting there would be the shrimp. they always seemed pretty decent and well priced.

how can you be taken seriously when you post this? so you would rather mass produced fruit and veggies with no organic selection whatsoever along with the worst clientele you can imagine

But the Tchoup Rouses has $2 happy hour beers. Perfect for post work making groceries.

I find there is a lot of variation between the newer and older rouses. The older rouses in small S. Louisiana towns might as well be Piggly Wigglys.
