The question was not what the best restaurant is, but what your favorite is.

You’re probably right.

We hit up Wayfare last night. I was pleasantly surprised

Got reservations at Saba for next weekend. I’m excited about that.

Both purely for sentimental reasons. I don’t claim them to be the best in NOLA, they are/were just my personal favorites.

1. Used to be Irene’s. I was close with most of the staff there so walking in I was always treated like family. The food is also outstanding. But since they moved locations I don’t know.

2. Mr. B’s. Grew up loving it and one of the first date spots with my wife. Also where we held our rehearsal dinner. So it holds a special place in my heart. Also, it’s a great restaurant.

Clancy’s.

It’s not haute cuisine. Nor does it have the pedigree of Commander’s, Brennan’s, or the grande dames in the quarter.

But the food is delicious and it feels like home.

My personal favorite fancy eats in the city are at August or Doris Metro.

My favorite regular spots would be Stein’s or Parkway. Or Drago’s, but only for the oysters.

I see the usual suspects here in this thread. I'll throw out a different one...Mr. Ed's. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal there.

Boucherie was our go-to when we lived uptown...we haven’t been going there consistently in the last year or so, but it was great for the price point and some daily specials have been outstanding

Jaquimos, and then there are second tier restaurants.

Atchfayla would be best amongst my second tier.
