MR B'S is my favorite
JACQUE-IMO is ok but it's kinda pricey for what you get...i have had much better food in New orleans but it is a fun funky neighborhood resturant you just have to know what to order..fried chicken is good

Just to throw out something different and not mentioned yet...Barcelona Tapas. I don't know many people who know of this place but it is one of my favorites. It's not fine dining but just a casual place. Great food and awesome to go to as a small group and share lots of different dishes.

Speaking for a great neighborhood restaurant, my go-to #1 favorite is Mandina's on Canal St. near Carrollton. My #1a fave is Liuzza's. Both top of the line for NOLA comfort food.

Cochon - I have to get the oysters every time I go because there isn’t a better oyster dish anywhere in the city. Drago’s by comparison comes across as something you can do yourself at home because you can identify every ingredient. But Cochon is also my favorite for other reasons. With the exception of the surprisingly bland crawfish pie, every dish is solid. There is nothing on their menu that I won’t enjoy eating. I also love that it is well sized and well staffed. I have never had a bad service experience. The waiters are always friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

Still a NO newbie but so far August. Did the chefs course with wine paring with wife, fantastic. Waiter was great guy and ambiance is great.

Really enjoyed Commander's as well.

Went to Peche recently since it gets a lot of love here. Wasn't impressed. I'll have to give it another shot since maybe it was an off night.
