All good questions and I'm sure some of this needs to be explained better. Seems like you are correct on most of it.
Yes. Like Blue Oak for an example. I've visited them a few times. You call in the order and show up and wait in line and get your food. They have the tables there, so you can now just sit down there. They had a good beer selection.
I would think places like Bayou Beer Garden and the like will do well with this. Or as well as you can at fcking 25% capacity.
I would think so. I rode my bike by Sante Fe this weekend and they had a little table out front with a drink menu and it seemed like they would serve you anything that you wanted.
I guess. And yeah, eating in a parking lot is a no go for me.
I just hope the other places like Wrong Iron, Tchoup Yard, etc will be allowed to open and use their food trucks.
Don't know what to think about breweries and such with how this will work.

No table service, so I assume it is more like a food truck setup where you order at a window/table and get your food in takeout containers?

People really are so careless & irresponsible. One trip to the grocery & anyone can see that. So I understand where you are coming from
But I think the parameters laid out by the governor are pretty solid in terms of limiting exposure, if people comply. Gives a glimmer of hope for businesses.
On another note, the restaurants that are open have been late to adapt. There no reason every restaurant shouldn’t have a functioning website, with updated hours & updated menu. They all should also have online ordering capabilities. They should be active everyday on social media(which many are, so that is good).
You want business, put it in the laps of the consumer. Not enough information day to day. What do you think happens when I call your restaurant 8x with no answer or busy signal??

Yeah I know. I was just thinking about in a few weeks.
Are you sure you don't know a way the old blue bloods that you are friends with can figure out a way to take her dumbass out?

I love eating outside. I also work outside whenever I can. Been doing lots of Zoom and Webex meetings on the porch during this time.

Dogs don't bother me at all. It's the cigarettes...

Table service isn’t allowed. So presumably there is no waitress. It’s a lot closer to short order than to sit down service, from what it sounds like.

You see that's the thing. If you listen to JBE he says you can only eat. No service. And you must social distance. So why would I sit alone ( or with the wife) if I could just as easy sit at home?
I will admit the food getting cold thing is a good point. But other than that, I don't get all the excitement about eating alone on a restaurant patio. I have a nice back porch I can easily do this at.

Because I'm tired of eating on my fcking back porch or at home.
And I bet I can find some friends to join me to go out to grab a bite to eat.

Make sure you are sitting at least six feet apart baw.

Meh, they will have hell enforcing it to that extent. Not even sure if it's people or the tables that are supposed to be 6 feet apart.

Not a bad troll by FDB standards.

I know of one pretty popular Nola restaurant with locations in Orleans and Jefferson that is planning on putting up a huge tent outside with tables under it. They’ll also be offering bussing tables so you’ll be allowed to leave a few bucks. They’ll also serve to go drinks.

If the weather is nice, I don't understand why people would eat inside the restaurant. Just get it to go and eat at your own table at home.
