Very good. I may be a little biased tho. I love J. Alexander’s.

El Paso plate baw. It's like 3 plates of food.

Then again, I'm a sucker for a chili relleno (except for the one at Don Jose).

Back in the 90’s on any Thursday night, the answer is LAID.

That place was the “It” place to be on Thursday night.

Burger is very good. My go to for Mexican food there are the brisket tacos. Everything is overpriced but I find everything very good and the family loves it. Margaritas obviously help.

It really was. A great place to be.

When do you think it stopped being the “it” place to be?

Granted I’m not a divorcee looking to score, but the location I go to is slammed every night.

I tell my single girlfriends all the time they need to get more comfortable venturing out solo like I do because it’s nearly impossible NOT to have someone chat you up in there on a busy night. Believe me I try

Update. This is what I got:

1. The grilled flank steak to order. Medium rare. Chimichurri sauce on the side. It was delicious.
2. Black bean soup on the side was also very tasty. Too much rice for me to eat.
3. Big scoop of guacamole. Yum
4. Drunk. Two large top shelf margaritas (one during happy hour)

GF got the grilled fish which sucked. It was a generic piece of frozen tilapia thawed out and quickly grilled. Flavorless and mushy almost like how some seafood gets after thawing. Not edible.

Overall pretty good but very expensive for what it is. No complaints because we had a good time

You did right. One will really get you going, but two hits the spot. Then you go to sleep when you get home.

I usually do 1 there and bring 1 to-go, for my own good.

Do they still serve the off the menu chicken fried steak? It used to be the best in town and may still be if still available.

The Taco Truck Carnitas are great, and one of the cheapest things on the menu.

That’s why I get the El Paso plate, the tamale too. I bring enough home for a meal the next day.
