No way I could pick just one.

Wild Boar Flautas at City Pork
Blue Cheese Chips at Byronz was a good suggestion
Calamari at Kalurah Street (tossed in romesco sauce)
Chicken Skins at Merchant
Chargrilled Oysters pretty much anywhere
Crab Cheesecake/Shrimp and Grits/Arancini/Pork Cheeks sampler app at Ruffino's
Bone Marrow Tartare at Umami
Crab Au Gratin at Parrains
Short Rib Egg Rolls at Olive or Twist

Great one!

Those are all great!

I would add the:

Wood Grilled Artichokes at J. Alexanders
Chicken Wings at Bao
Ahi Tuna at Ruth Chris

P.S. I really miss the Escargot at Ruth Chris! So sad it's gone

Might have to change my vote. These are incredible. I just get them as a meal, because I usually don't want to share them.

I'm a sucker for some Chimes boudin balls.

Used to be I would include Sammy's fried mozzarella on this list, but last time I went it was smaller portions and nowhere close to as good.

This was exactly what came in my mind when I saw this thread. As someone else said, Chimes blackened alligator is good too.

I could just eat appetizers at Chimes most visits and leave completely satisfied.

I usually do. There are so many there I like.

I'm in the minority, I think, for not being super wild about the garlic knots at Rocca. They aren't as garlicky as ones I've had elsewhere, and I honestly like marinara more. Whipped provolone is kinda mild :/

I've already seen Chimes boudin balls, Chimes blackened alligator, and Pluckers holy mac posted, so my work here is done.

I'll add the spinach and artichoke dip from Chimes since it hasn't been mentioned yet
