Something real simple. Panne' pork chops, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, brown gravy and peas.

Muffuletta, salad, voodoo chips, purple grapes, brownies with Blue Bell Raspberry Fudge Brownie ice cream for our yankee neighbors who have become LSU fans and now want to watch all the games with us.

I am happy to feed them, because Lousiana hospitality is unparalleled.

Man, I'm pretty excited. Making two mains:

Braised bone-in beef shank stew

Rabbit sauce piquant - I've never made rabbit before, so fingers crossed.

Will probably post pics of the process/finished product later.

Just put some ribs on the smoker.

Going to have some baked macaroni as well.

I’m gonna be making gyro plates tonight. Alxtgr posted some beef/lamb gyro slices from sams a couple weeks back so I went and got some. I got some chicken shawarma marinating and then I’m gonna get some salad, hummus, rice pilaf, and some pita slices.

Spicy Italian sausage, kale, and lentil soup. I’m making a big pot so I can bring leftovers to work.

I didn’t take pics but huge shout out to Alxtgr. Those sams gyro beef/lamb slices were the bomb. That will be a staple in our freezer from here on out.

Damn, it turned out so good. Sprinkled on a little green onions and sliced fresh jalapeño. Dee-Lish.

His recipe says cook in oven at 275, but I had to dial it up to 320 to get it simmering in a big cast iron pot.
