I used to love it.
The past two trips over the last year it seems to have gone downhill

It’s funny to see the old folks brigade in here defending this place. Four of the AARP group on the first page giving it good reviews.
Not that there is anything wrong with being older or anything

It was better with the old owner and before the remodel.

Used to see pretty much locals in there but now it's just another place for tourists.

B&J further north in Hammond has much better seafood dishes.

Food - Meh…… 6/10
Location - 8/10
It has been struggling the last few times I have been there.
It was better back in the day.
Oldies do pack it in on weekends.
Makes a decent lunch spot coming from Biloxi / crusin the coast.

Their Octoberfest meals on Wed & Thurs in October are good! We buy them take-out.

No. Seasoning.
Could greatly improve score with that one simple change.

Been going there for sixty years. Without a doubt, better once upon a time than now. Also, pissed me off 35 years ago because they were unyielding. For no amount of money, would they substitute thick fish for thin. That being said, we like taking the low road out and eating there, on occasion. Food is bland, location is nice, view can be good, service is good. Atmosphere is good. Wife likes the thin, I get fried chicken more than anything else. Still bland but it’s fried hot and fresh and if it’s brought fast enough, you can hit it with seasoning at the table. :) Tis what it is…

I don't see the need to eat there. When I pass by, I'm going to New Orleans. I'd turn down a New Orleans restaurant for fried catfish and fries? Please.

Only "bad" thing with B&Js is that they close so early (630pm and feckin 3pm on Sundays!).

When that location opened, it got panned pretty hard on here when compared to the original in Manchac.
