As a kid: Jello(maybe ate two cubes), chopped steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes or mac n cheese, green beans or corn, and always shared a piece of Millionaire Pie with my grandmother.

Way too random with my adult choices.

Liver & onions, mashed potatoes w cream gravy, fried okra and the garlic toast. Peach cobbler. Unsweet tea. Same at Luby's. It's been my order since I was a little kid. Been dozens and dozens of times and I think I've deviated w the white cod probably less than 10 times. Love those places.

As a kid, eating at Picadilly was the pinnacle of dining experiences.

Fried haddock
Mac-n-cheese
Green beans
Soft roll
Belly washer

FTR, I didn't even know Picadilly's were still round. Are any now as good as then (70s , 80s)?

I can remember going to the one on Government and Acadian, near BRHS. We were limited to $2 (yes, I am old), and getting a Dilly Plate, bread, desert and a drink and staying under. Sometimes, I would get the etouffee and salad and still stay under the limit. Always had amazing food!

Fried Fish Dilly with Fries and Mac and Cheese - every Friday afternoon of football season in high school. We got to add on dessert when we made the playoffs.

The name is Picc-a-dilly. Yes you pick your dilly. Some specials were a la carte though.

Anyone else old enough to remember when the Dilly Plate was called the Satellite Plate, and it was pretty much just for kids? It was a three sectioned plate with little space ships at the bottom of each section. As a kid, I think I most often got the hamburger steak, but you could choose a few other options - not everything, though.

They only changed it to the Dilly Plate, when it became a thing you didn't have to be a kid to order.

Piccadilly was such a fabulous place at one time.
