Add Mayo & sour cream
Similar to a herb veggie dip but has a kick to it

I make one with Costco pesto, mayo and cream cheese, damn stuff is like crack. I dip with almond crackers, so low carb too.

My mom’s family dill dip recipe is absolutely perfect with vegetables:

8oz sour cream
8oz Mayo
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp dried minced onion
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 tsp dill weed (usually do a bit more than this bc I love the dill flavor)

Mix together and chill overnight. Great with veggies but also perfect with crackers, potato chips, on a sandwich, French fries, etc….

Thank you! Ha! I loved it when he said do not use low fat sour cream. I will need to look into purchasing a mandolin slicer.

I actually don't have one either, it just makes things easier. I just really sharpen my knife and slice as thin as I can get it. Works great each time. And yes, follow his directions closely. I even added just a little bit over on the onion concentrate once it came out too onion-y.

Boudin dip from bourqes in port barré.

It is essentially a tub of seasoned paté.

I actually try not to buy it because if I do I have to eat the entire container.

I make this one anytime we are going to a get together and it is always a hit. I never get to take home any leftover dip, someone always asks if they can have the rest if there is any.

Cajun Shrimp and Andouille Cheese Dip
Cajun Shrimp and Andouille Cheese Dip
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 35 minutes Total Time: 45 minutes Servings: 8
A hot melted cheese dip just packed with shrimp and andouille sausage and cajun style flavours!

Save RecipeRecipe Box Print RecipePrint Recipe
ingredients
4 strips bacon
1/2 pound andouille sausage (or kielbasa), diced
1/2 tablespoon cajun seasoning
1/2 pound shrimp, diced
1 small onion, diced
2 stalks celery, diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tablespoon cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan cheese), grated
1 cup mozzarella, shredded

eta: I use crawfish tail meat more than I use shrimp when I make it, just because I prefer the crawfish.

Made this over the weekend, but didn't include sour cream, or green onion, instead used one can of rotel. It was awesome.
