I did that on Friday. Except I ate boudin balls and cracklins. I was there to buy some smoked boudin for stuffing a pork loin.

I've eaten there several times. never once had a memorable meal. glorified bar food. I've never understood the love for that place by locals. Baton Rouge is a city with enough great restaurants that Chimes shouldn't even be mentioned.

I also agree that Chimes is not very good. The only things I've had there that I like are the etouffee and the duck/sausage gumbo.
