Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine is the bomb. I fell in love w/it when I was serving in Baghdad in 03-'04.

Lebanese especially.

Tex Mex... Try living without good Tex Mex (Illinois 8 years). It made me nuts. I guess it is probably under appreciated more than under rated. IDK.

I did five Mediterranean cruises in the Navy. All of the food was great, but Greek food in particular is amazing.

Is this thread for people who have never left Louisiana? Most of these examples aren't underrated. They're represented very well in non shitehole states.
