I guess I'd eat there if it was the only thing available. Kind of hard to mess up fried cod, hush puppies, and fries.

Love those krispy drizzles things their batter frying produces.

You never get them at the Michelin Starred places.

Not good food...
I find that fast food has become way to expensive...
Just pay a little more and you get a much better quality of food....good example is raising canes...way to expensive for what you get..

I ate at one like 20 years ago. The "fish" was 90% batter. I took a bite or two and threw the rest away.

I'm a Captain D's man if I'm going to step off into at a place like that.

I grew up eating LJS in Western PA, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. It was actually considered a treat when we got it as kids. That being said, the food all tastes exactly the same, and if you go inside, even for just a minute, your clothes have that fried batter smaller for the rest of the day.

Your pulmonary artery?

Just kidding. I have the same experience with it. Remember ringing the bell as a kid. Haven't been in years. Used to take my kids when they were little.

Same here, but in a small town outside of Kansas City. My grandparents always took me and my brother there, it's almost a nostalgia thing. I get to eat LJS maybe once every couple of years or so now, I unapologetically love it, but understand exactly what it is.

Same here.. it was a treat growing up. Probably for anyone in a mid to large size city far from the sea.

Still run through there every couple of years. It takes my lower IT several days to recover.
