The only answer I accept. They have a location still open in Liberty, Ms buts not the Jr Food Mart Chicken of the 70’s & 80’s. The one in Jackson may have lasted into the early to mid 90’s but has been replaced with your typical Boondock Valero Gas Stations ran by implanted Bosnians/Chechnyans or whatever they claim to be any given day of the week. They make a decent Bird but it damn sure ain’t Jr Food Mart Creole Recipe.

No doubt. The fry their chicken and fish in the same grease. The last time I bought theirs (year ago) the chicken had bits of cornmeal from the fish batter stuck to it and you could taste the fish flavor.

Grocery store - Publix
Gas station - Brothers...by a damn mile

The Jr food mart in Liberty is still good. I stopped there the other day and grabbed the kids some chicken. They like it.

When I was a teenager I would get off the stand and go pick me up a 8 piece dark meat with fries, 4 peppers and two cokes. I weighed 150 lbs, perfect BP and cholesterol. Those were the days.

The Best Stop #25 in French Settlement, across the street from Moon Light Inn. It's a brand new store I stopped by last night for some chicken tenders and they were hot and fresh juicy. This store has a high volume of shoppers, so the chicken doesn't stay under the heat lamp very long.
