Piggly Wiggly long ago when I lived next to one in SC, Mt Pleasant.

All grocery store fried chicken Ive had in the last 15 years since then has sucked in comparison.

I like Publix too. Their chicken is bigger than any other place I have been. Each batch takes about 13-15 minutes to fry. We call ahead & tell them to take it out a couple of minutes early so that our order isn't overcooked.

Anyone had the fried chicken at Louisiana Bayou Bistro in Brusly? That may be my favorite

Publix will usually place their deli near the front of the store so the exhaust from the chicken fryer blows toward the parking lot. When you walk in, trying to eat healthy, it blows you out of the water.

No, I don’t know if the market and profit margin is there for fried turkey. I know a guy on FB that is taking orders for the holidays but he makes them at his home.
