Is Hickory Tavern the place at Brookwood Mall?

Yep. I haven't been in quite a while. We used to have our fishing club meetings there.

There's a new pub type place about to open in Lee Branch where Revolve used to be.

Guy that sits beside me is originally from Ireland. He knows the guy opening this and says it will be a true British styled pub (owner is from Liverpool). They will have English pub style food. I'd be excited to get some true British beers on draft (not Guinness, Bass, etc, etc).

It's a step above Chili's. Do not wait in line for it.

I work over there and have been a decent number of times. The burgers have been decent, definitely very big. As are the sandwiches. Portions are huge. I've liked the buffalo chicken sandwich and whatever the burger is with the fried jalepenos on it. Cajundillas were pretty good.

It is bar food, so go in with that understanding, and you'll enjoy it. Service has been good.

They just opened a second location in English Village (Mnt Brook). Going to Hickory Tavern this week to see how it compares. It's closer to me and far less crowded.

Hickory Tavern has been a decent spot for games. Went a few times last season. Decent beer selection. The wings and chicken fingers were both pretty good. Haven't tried a ton of their other stuff, but for going to watch a game or two, i'm perfectly fine with those two options.

The buffalo chicken sandwich is huge. Has two big breasts on it, just the way i like it.

We went the other day in Lafayette and the service was terrible. The waitress asked me if I wanted regular or sweet potato fries with my salad. She didn't know the difference between pinot noir and pinot grigio.

I wouldn't go to the Bham one right now for dinner. Since the mask ordinance expired, there's been a line out the door nearly every night I've driven past it. Friends went this past weekend and said service was terribly slow, so I'm guessing they're also having some staffing issues many other restaurants are having.

The Walk Ons? Yea i've only ever gone for lunch while at work. I'm sure the place is bananas right now for dinner. It definitely is not a place i'd ever go to if there is a wait.

Yeah i went to Flemings the other day and the service was terrible. They didn't have chicken fingers so i had to get a steak, and when i told them i wanted my steak cooked well done they looked confused and told me I should at least go with medium. And they didn't even know what orange drink was. bunch of morons.

You couldn’t pay me to go back to the one in Covington. Absolutely awful food quality and service.

Blackjack Chicken Sandwich was my go-to back in the day. If it hasn't changed, would be my pick.

c'mon man, would you say the same thing if you had a similar experience at Hooters? There isn't a difference between the two places on who they hire.

I get what you are saying, and it's sad that happened, but you have to remember who you're dealing with at times and just shrug it off.
