i used to love walk on's burger. It was one of the best in BR to me. They changed the bun from sourdough to brioche and i havent ordered one since.

Yeah I’m not expecting authentic Cajun food since it’s a sports bar. I looked at menu and the food looked different then what I’m used to so I’d like to try it.

chicken cobb salad is legit as is the pepper jelly shrimp salad and Ahi tuna salad. the tuna wrap is good as well as the boom boom shrimp and tuna tini appetizers.

burgers are good from what I hear.

If you’re in Bham don’t waste your time with Walkon’s and go to Carrigan’s.

I was intrigued by the Cajundilla folks are mentioning, but it read to me like it had way too much going on in it. But that's a preference thing - I prefer simple dishes for the most part.

If you don't live or work close to it, I don't think it's worth a special trip out there to it.

Agree with everything stated here. It's been packed every time we've been by there. No way I'm waiting 45 mins for that type of food.

Yeah I agree, walk ons food it very meh but I think the attraction more has to do with the mega sports bar atmosphere and waitresses dressed as slutty cheerleaders

Nothing wrong with Carrigan's, but they're on completely opposite ends of town. And I'd send folks to Paramount before Carrigan's.

The talent at the Bham one left a lot to be desired.

Last night's post was from my phone. Fat fingers from the chips and queso I had Monday, I suppose.

Waffle cheese fries
Ahi tuna salad
Most of the wraps, burgers, and sandwiches are solid

I avoid the entrees

They just opened a second location in English Village (Mnt Brook). Going to Hickory Tavern this week to see how it compares. It's closer to me and far less crowded.

Did not know that. Is Hickory Tavern the place at Brookwood Mall?

There's a new pub type place about to open in Lee Branch where Revolve used to be. Walked by it the other day, and I'd say they'll be opening around March or April.
