Not sure if it’s still a Chevron but it’s on the Hwy between Bayou Chico and Ville Platte . Best pork sausage I’ve ever eaten . I used to buy 10-20 lbs every time I was in the area . Also chicken kabobs with sausage ,bell pepper and onion . Damn they were good . Went to school with his wife .

Also there are several places I've stopped back in the day at 5:30AM on the way to fishing that have great breakfast biscuits. It seems things always tasted better on the way down for a fishing trip.

There is place called "Friendly Gus'" Gas station and they serve up food throughout the day. The breakfast items are pretty good, but their fried chicken is the best I've had. Better than any chicken place in town (KFC, buffets, etc). Their fried pork chops are the shite too. Plus you can get like 2 full sized chicken breasts for like just over 5$.

There's a Chevron in Americus, GA with the best hot wings I've ever had. They're fried chicken wing sections, no sauce...simple enough. These things have an incredibly, flavorful breading, hot enough to almost put a little sweat on your brow, with incredibly moist meat under the breading. One of those things I get every time I'm in, or driving through, Americus.
