Just get a Bahn Mi, ride up to the beach and park and do a little picnic lunch.
This is what I do, but I typically hit the park benches by the seafood and maritime museum. I was in the area and stopped in last Tuesday.
OP, I suggest the Kogi Fries as an appetizer/shareable if you make it to Long Beach market and deli. Great beer selection too if you are so inclined.

At the casinos I like Mignon’s at the Palace.
Wife loves eating here and visiting the casino also. Place is always clean and smoke free. Also make great drinks and cocktails here. One bartender has been there for at least 5 years and makes a killer Moscow mule.

The projects lounge for burgers and murky waters for burnt ends and onion rings.

The projects lounge for burgers
Came to post this.
The Project Lounge is one of my faves. 2 packs of second hand smoke, ice cold beer and a cheese burger.
Taranto's in Wool market is a hole in the wall with good seafood.

“Blondie” & I really enjoy Bacchus on the Beach in Pass Christian. Has an outdoor bar, or indoor bar/dining room. Really good fried oysters, if you partake…
We've always liked this place as well. The Cajun club sandwich is great. They took the crab claws off the menu a few years ago which kinda stinks, they were good.

Y'all are going to think I'm nuts but there are a few good spots in Pascagoula that get passed over because its not a glamorous beach town, it's an industrial town.
Jacks by the Tracks
Bradys' for steak or formal dining
Bozo's po boy
Also Fayard's marathon on 609 in north Ocean Springs is a great carryout po boy. I stop by all the time and pick them up.
Problem with the gulf coast area is there are so many tourist traps with fried everything in old grease. Also the service can be crummy at those spots. Had a bad experience last weekend at one. This is a good thread so I have some more places to try.

I always wonder about this place when I drive by. I'll have to stop and check it out sometime.

The Fayards on Popps Ferry in Biloxi makes better poboys IMHO
And they make better beignets than any place in New Orleans

Anyone here tried Quave Brothers in D'Iberville? When I was in Le Bakery last week I saw an article that featured them. I plan to give them a shot next time I'm in the area.

Wouldn’t call it underrated, but Thorny Oyster in Bay St Louis is one of the best meals I’ve had this year
