Friend,
When it comes to seafood, most people think of fish, shrimp, oysters, crab, scallops, and lobster. What is often left out is the lowly squid. It should not be so. Squid combines the flavors and textures of shrimp and scallop, yet is hard to find in restaurants, except in its fried version, and somewhat difficult to find in grocery stores.
I hold that Shogun does the best squid dishes in the city, whether hibachi style or raw. But occasionally, I will buy some at the market and cook at home. I found some today for $4/lb and pan fried it. Grilling seems to be better, but I did not want to go outside. This recipe is simple: tubes of squid, butter, salt, pepper, lemon, sesame seeds. That's it.

Steak and eggs with truffle butter.
I get a stern talking to if I don't come home with tubes and tentacles when I go to Whole Foods.

Making keto brownies, so I guess I'm having brownies for dinner. I have already eaten two and the night is still young.

Leftover hamburger patties and leftover red beans and rice. Doesn't really go together but both tasted delicious and I did not have to cook.
