Buffalo chicken cobb salads.

Lettuce, red onion, avocado, boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and croutons. Topped with oven-roasted chicken legs that we tossed in buffalo sauce. Dressed with Jalapeno Ranch.

Vodka waters and severe thunderstorms.

Not Dinner, but thank you Mr. Balls. 65 ears, all pretty. Will be cut off the cob, blanched and in the freezer by bedtime. Eating creamed corn comes later.

Looks so good, I evidently upvoted my own post!

Friend,

It's peak of summer garden eating, and boy am I eating! I started with an appetizer of pan-fried okra:

My main was a medley of yellow squash and courgettes:

The meal was capped with the finest cheese in America, one of the only farm based cheesemakers in existence, as well as one of a handful of cheesemakers in the States who sells cheese made from unpasteurized milk.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

P.S. I was unable to find my Delta friend, so corn was not on the menu tonight.

I could eat okra no matter how it’s cooked, I guess it’s my comfort food.

*Tuscan Cannellini Beans and Shrimp

I need some crusty bread!

*America’s Test Kitchen named it this. I don’t know how Tuscan it really is.

A million percent agree. Okra is one of the most underrated veggies in existence. I looooooove it roasted.
