One of the guys who wrote Diggy Diggy Lo was once married to my third cousin's widow. I hope that's complicated enough.

Don't have any idea what we're having for supper.

I wonder if I would make it, would it freeze well?

I think it would. Tofu might change a little, but should still be tasty.

Would that be your 3rd cousin, permanently removed?

Boiling up a gallon bag of crawfish from my freezer.

That sounds sort of scary, but then again, the Chinese sell frozen whole crawfish. I wouldn't eat them, though.

Gallon bag isn't much. Do you do the whole crawfish boil thing for just that much?

Chinese takee outee here.

Normally I would add the ones I freeze to something. Shrimp/crawfish boil with corn. sausage, etc, but tonight I just wanted some crawfish. First cold night (below 40) this fall for us.

I will probably make some cheese grits to go with them.

I would not eat Chinese ditch crawfish, either. No telling what kind of water they come from.

I made a vegetable soup.

I used a red sauce one of my mom's patients makes from scratch with just basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. It's so good you could just eat it straight.

The stock came from a smoked Turkey carcass we had last week.

I used cubed beef, onion, celery, bell pepper, cabbage, peas, carrots, fresh corn, a couple of new potatoes, thyme, basil, fresh parsely, and red pepper.

I think I've got it all.

Not too late for suggetions though.

We'll have this all week as an app for other meals I'm guessing. Making soup when it's cold is just plain ole' fun.

I just boiled the second bag of crawfish. Going to make a pot of grits and top them with the tail meat and some fresh chives. If I had more than 2 eggs I would make a sausage/crawfish omlette and eat the grits as a side.
