Leftovers of my Mexican submission. Like many things, the dish was better after spending the night in the Refrigerator.

Since I can't show photos, I thought I'd share what I bought at an estate sale in Talula, LA. Sorry Balls, we got close, but decided to not come over to Rayville to bother you.

I was casually looking at kitchen stuff and found the perfect cheesy thing for our dinner table, so I bought it, along with a nice cast iron oven braising pan that is currently in the oven getting a rust treatment. I'll show it later.

All my classy TD F&D board friends can eat your hearts out when you see this.

Yes I paid a whopping $6.00 for him, but the salt and pepper you see in the shakers were included in the sale.

As long as I am bragging. We recently got my Grandmother's Biscuit bowls, when a cousin who had them died, and left them to me. The big one is Chestnut (I think) and dates back to 1902. The smaller one was carved in maybe 1920.

Thousands of biscuits and dumplings made in those bowls.

Adding a seasoning Gnome to the family made it a good day.

Thanks. The nice thing is I know exactly how to use them.

I can remember sifting flour into that big bowl over 66 years ago.

Friend,

Zee’s is making the second best pizza in the Metro behind only Tower right now. Little too many toppings for me, but would love to share a plain with you one day before a BCP meeting. Beautiful biscuit bowls, though, I do not know what they are.

Yours,

Anytime TL but I will meet you half way and only get pep on one side. I’d put Zee’s up there with Pizza delicious and Nola Pizza Co.

I love your treasures, MD!

Shrimp salad for supper. B-I-L brought over 20 pounds of beautiful, freshly caught shrimp. We cooked a few and froze a bunch.

but can we concede that it looks like you’re submitting bowls of dog food in today’s WFDT thread?

Grilled burgers and vegetables (carrots, zucchini, and asparagus). I found a packet of ham glaze powder in my spice cabinet, so I sprinkled just a little of that on my carrots, and everyone seemed to like them.
