??? whitest salmon I've ever seen.
There are several species of salmon. All are of different color. Sockeye salmon is a deep ruby red in color. King salmon is what we mostly see commercially. Coho is a little more white in color.
The salmon I cooked tonight was given to me by a friend who caught it 3 weeks ago in Alaska. I was glad to be the recipient of a few filets.

that's a really white coho filet. wonder if he went ocean fishing for them
