I don't understand why it's so hard for them to stop overcooking the meat. It tastes great but it's more of a meat paste than it is brisket.

In my opinion, all nola BBQ is good, but not great or maybe I'm just spoiled by Texas BBQ

I had the wings with the rooster sauce and some of the brussels sprouts for dinner last night.

Went to Blue Oak today. Got a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. Pork was great, the brisket tasted baked, no smoke ring at all. Sides were sprouts and mac....the sides were the best part of the meal.
Decent joint, nothing I'd go out of my way for if I was visiting from out of town (which I did).
Also, those heady brahs need to turn down the P Groove...a little loud in there.
