Cantaloupe reminds me of continental breakfast at a Hyatt House.

Can you pour vodka in a cantaloupe?
You definitely can since the center is one good size hole with only seeds and some pulp but I seriously doubt it will permeate the flesh much since it is far denser than a watermelons flesh.

Depends on what I'm eating it with. Not to uching cantaloupe with fried chicken.

I love watermelon and lay the crazy prices for roadside watermelon, but it's hard to beat a sweet perfectly ripe Cantaloupe.

Ripe seeded watermelon like a Black Diamond. Really gotta dig thru them at the store to get a ripe watermelon. I was fortunate to get 2 ripe seedless ones last week. USA melons I guess from south Texas.

Watermelon all day long but I will eat cantaloupe if it is properly ripe.

Cantaloupe all day, Watermelon has always been overrated to me and I’m from Washington Parish.

Sultan watermelon after a 2 hour yard mowing in July and all is well in the world.

Casting my vote for the watermelon. Cantaloupe is good, but it’s just not as good as a cold, juicy, sweet watermelon.
Problem is picking out the right ones. I mostly have it down to a science but even my method (large yellow spot, heavy for its size, not too big, sugar trails evident) fails every now and then.

This is me exactly. Maybe the overabundance of watermelon my whole life is why.

A bad watermelon is still much better than a bad canteloupe.
This is true.
But a good cantaloupe is better than a good watermelon. Especially when wrapped with prosciutto.

I don't go out of my way for either one but give the nod to Watermelon.

I would rather a really good piece of cantaloupe over a really good piece of watermelon. I would rather just average watermelon over pretty much all cantaloupe that isn’t really good.

Watermelon can hold a 750 of Titos with a hoke cut out at the top.

I never was a big fan of cantaloupe until I had one home grown from a farmer near me. He has them for about a month and I eat 3 a week.
Once his crop is done, I don't even consider buying one from a store I just wait another 11 months.

I have no problem finding a ripe watermelon where I live.
Cantaloupes in the store are always unripe and tasteless.

Cantaloupe with a dash of salt. Mmmmm.

Hard to say because they have completely different uses for me.
Maybe it was just my family, but cantaloupe is breakfast food while watermelon is a snack to be enjoyed on a hot day.
I would probably say watermelon just because of the fond memories of working with my grandfather in his garden. First thing in the morning, he would pick a ripe watermelon and send me to put it in the cold stream that ran through his property. Then we would later bust it open and eat it to cool down. Some of my best talks with him were while sharing a watermelon.
