It’s just too rich (bitter and sweet and just too much) otherwise. Prepped the recipe ahead of today.

2 parts tequila, one part mix, dab of agave nectar (for the wife’s) and 1/2-3/4 part water.

First time I’ve had it. Was looking for hornitos, glad I didn’t find it.

Your house already looks like a Mexican restaurant, so this should be very close to an authentic experience.

Shaker adds water. I just mix over ice.

Yeah, of all the people I would expect to see possibly using that.

I clearly don’t get fussy about tequila, that was the cheapest reposado they had.

Grand marnier works well too for those that don’t like Cointreau

Why are you using a mix? And then you're adding sugar in with it? No wonder you think it's too sweet (I see now that the added sugar is just for your wife, but still, ).

I wasn’t dogging your tequila choice.

That one is perfectly acceptable for a decent margarita.

We make margatini’s, as my wife calls them, with just lime juice, agave nectar, and tequila...just like the place Tommy’s in San Francisco. But this just seems easier for a random Tuesday night.

rose pepper (the trendiest of the trendy messican places in nashville) uses sprite which i can't stand by itself much less dumped from the C02 tap straight into a marg.

who would do that? and people rave about the margs here. my wife's sister is the manager and she knows better than to fill mine up with sprite.

I always go:
2oz. lime juice
2oz. tequila
1 tsp agave
splash of lime sparkling water. Probably less than 1oz.
