Years ago we used t drive to Lafayette just to buy the stuffed pork chops at Veron's. Does anyone know if they still make them, or any other place that has them as good? I have tried Chris', but those are not in the same league as Veron's used to be.

Thanks if you can help.

Hebert's Specialty Meats on Ambassador Caffery has some frozen and they're good. The stuffed rabbit is also worth picking up.

There's Little Veron's Meat Market in Lafayette. There's a Veron's Supermarket in Lutcher that makes their own sausage and lists stuffed pork chops as a specialty item.

If you are in BR and interested in trying Hebert's products, Matherne's on Highland has cases in the back of the store that stock a variety of items.

They still have the stuffed pork chops at Little Verons on Rena dr. In Lafayette. We cook them
often, still as good as always!

My sisters went to USL in the 80's and they would bring some home every now and then. They were absolutely incredible

What's the best way to cook a stuffed pork chop? I believe I have a few in my freezer from Karchner's

Sear and braise would be my first inclination.

I like to reverse sear them. The pork cooks quickly and the sausage is still raw on the inside if you try to cook over direct heat. Put them in the oven at 300 until you get the inside up to 160°and then sear in a pan.
